After hearing that two characters would die this season on "Smallville" -- one major and one minor -- I hoped that last night's episode would provide some clues as to which Metropolisians (Metropolisites?) would be sent packing. Thankfully, last night's installment, "Turbulence," was a mythology heavy hour.
The gist is that Davis can't control when or where Doomsday emerges, and tries to direct his wrath towards drug dealers, drunk drivers and all around bad guys. Sadly, a doped-up Jimmy sees Davis kill the boozer who slammed his car into a mother and daughter. But because he's all hopped up on meds, no one believes him. Plus, Davis does a killer job of covering his tracks.
Oh, except for the fact that he brilliantly kept the dead body in his ambulance. Jimmy finds said corpse but can't tell anyone before David drugs him, causing the one-time ace photographer to have an acid trip that'd make Timothy Leary jealous. After Chloe takes Davis' side, Jimmy hunts down the EMT as he's about to kill another one of the cities criminals. Chaining Davis up doesn't really work as Jimmy intended since that begins to bring Doomsday to the surface. But Chloe arrives just in time to Tazer her husband and unwittingly help David sublimate his inner beast.
Phew, got all that? Here's what I think it means...
